Rob Sand for Iowa

8/8/2025

DES MOINES IA – This week, candidate for governor Rob Sand wrapped up a three-day, 12-stop stretch of his Town Hall Tour, meeting with Iowans in communities big and small across Southwestern and Central Iowa. Over the course of three days, Rob visited Page, Fremont, Mills, Montgomery, Cass, Adair, Adams, Taylor, Ringgold, Union, Marion, and Jasper counties — connecting with Iowans at every stop to hear firsthand what’s working, what’s not, and how we fix it — together.

At each town hall, Rob spoke directly with Iowans about the real challenges they’re facing. From underfunded public schools and workforce shortages, to water quality concerns and a mental health system in crisis, he listened, answered tough questions, and laid out a vision for leadership that works for everyone — not just the well connected.

  • KNIA/KRLS: State Auditor Rob Sand Visited Knoxville Wednesday

    • State Auditor Rob Sand visited Knoxville Wednesday as a campaign stop in his run for Iowa Governor.

    • During the event and while taking questions Sand stressed his desire to have both political parties in Iowa work together and create progress along with meaningful change in the state. Sand, a Democrat, tells KNIA/KRLS that he wants the political party monopoly in the country to end and he wants to be a governor who works for all Iowans.
