Rob Sand for Iowa

DES MOINES, IA – Today, nominee for Iowa governor Rob Sand launched a new ad exposing career-long political operative Zach Lahn for being a part-time Iowa resident and outlining his frequent travel to Iowa from his first home in Kansas. Titled “Full Time,” the 30-second ad is part of a statewide 6-figure ad buy across all platforms – TV, streaming, digital – announced earlier this year.

WATCH:

“Iowans are dealing with some tough challenges, and they need a governor committed to Iowa to help solve them – not a frequent flyer who treats the state like a layover,” said Deputy Campaign Manager Emma O’Brien. “Zach Lahn has said he would ‘be in Iowa as much as humanly possible’ – a disqualifying answer from someone running to be Iowa’s – not Kansas’ – next governor. Iowans don’t want a part-timer or political operative as their next governor, and in November, they’ll send carpetbagger Zach Lahn back to Kansas.”

As the Des Moines Register previously reported, Lahn “maintains a home in Kansas,” registered to vote just before the two-year requirement to run for governor of Iowa, and spent more nights in Wichita than in his supposed hometown of Belle Plaine.

An economy near the bottom, but number one in new cancer cases.

Turning Iowa around will be a full-time job,

but Zach Lahn isn’t even a full-time Iowan.

Lahn lives, voted, and hit it rich in Kansas…

as a political insider, working for billionaires and special interests…

commuting to Iowa on his private plane.

Lahn says, if elected, he’d “be in Iowa as much as humanly possible,”

but you can’t be a full-time Governor if you’re a part-time Iowan.
