NEW RADIO AD: Hawkeye Tim Dwight, Cyclone Sage Rosenfels Endorse Rob Sand on Cy-Hawk Day
DES MOINES, IA — Today, the Rob Sand campaign is up with a new radio ad featuring former Hawkeye Tim Dwight and former Cyclone Quarterback Sage Rosenfels. The two former rivals bridge their divide and come together to endorse Rob Sand for governor ahead of one of Iowa’s favorite traditions: the Cy-Hawk game.
LISTEN:

“The Cy-Hawk game is one of the best traditions we’ve got here in Iowa. Families divided right down the middle, friends talking smack all week, neighbors flying their colors. But at the end of the day, this campaign is about bringing Iowans together from across the political spectrum – and the Cy-Hawk divide – to build an Iowa that’s not redder or bluer, but better and truer. I’m honored to have Tim Dwight and Sage Rosenfels on the same team for this one. I guess miracles do happen,” said nominee for governor Rob Sand.
The two Iowa legends also talk about beating Kansas – a nod to Rob’s opponent, Zach Lahn, who has failed to answer for why he spends more time in Kansas than Iowa, and last night tailgated for the Kansas-Missouri game.

Tim Dwight: Hey, it’s former Hawkeye Tim Dwight.
Sage Rosenfels: And former Cyclone Sage Rosenfels. Tim and I don’t always agree on everything.
Dwight: Go Hawks.
Rosenfels: No no…Go Cyclones.
Dwight: But we agree it’s time for change here in Iowa. That’s why we’re both supporting Rob Sand for Governor.
Rosenfels: As Auditor, Rob uncovered record amounts of misspent taxpayer dollars, saving Iowans’ money.
Dwight: Yeah, we both played offense, but we appreciate strong defense…thanks Rob.
Rosenfels: And Rob’s from small town Iowa and like both of us, went to Iowa public schools. He’s the only candidate calling for strong accountability for every tax dollar going to schools, public or private.
Dwight: Hey Sage, you guys ever beat Kansas
Rosenfels: Sure did. I scored two TDs. Take that, Zach Lahn.
Dwight: Folks, go to robsand.com to learn more about Rob’s plans to fight corruption, cancer and high costs. And Go Hawks.
Rob Sand: Paid for by Rob Sand for Iowa.
