Rob Sand Announces Statewide “One Year, One Iowa” Tour
DES MOINES, IA – Today, candidate for governor Rob Sand announced his “One Year, One Iowa” Tour, a 3-day statewide tour across Iowa.
The “One Year, One Iowa” Tour builds on Rob’s recent 100 Town Hall Tour, where he spent months crisscrossing the state, holding open town halls in all 99 counties, including both county seats in Lee County, and hearing directly from Iowans about their top concerns. Now, Rob is taking what he learned and putting it to work — focusing on the issues that matter most and talking with Iowans about how we fix them, together, such as:
- Turning Iowa’s economy around from its poor rankings and lowering costs for working families;
- Growing our workforce and keeping young people here at home to work and live;
- Strengthening public education and giving every Iowa kid a fair shot;
- Supporting family farms and protecting Iowa’s agricultural future;
- Helping Iowans live better, healthier lives.
“After 100 town halls, I’m ready to hit the road for my One Year, One Iowa Tour to continue having important conversations with Iowans and hear how I can better support them as their next governor,” said candidate for governor Rob Sand. “While each stop on my 100 Town Hall Tour was different, what I heard from Iowans was the same: they’re tired of the political games and being pitted against their neighbors while the insiders in Des Moines do nothing to solve our problems. I’m ready to get back out on the road to continue listening and learning as we tackle Iowa’s toughest challenges together. With one year to go until the 2026 election, this tour is about bringing all Iowans together to build a state that’s not redder or bluer, but better and truer.”
