Rob Sand for Iowa

9/9/2026

Rob Sand: “Stop the division, work together, put Iowans first.”

DES MOINES, IA – Today, nominee for governor Rob Sand is out with his latest ad that focuses on growing up in Decorah where he learned the value of hard work, right from wrong, and how to work together to get things done. These are the same qualities Rob will bring to Iowa’s governor’s office to solve the state’s challenges related to costs, corruption, and cancer. The ad is part of an ongoing six-figure ad buy across the state and across platforms – digital, streaming, and TV.

“Growing up in Decorah, my parents taught me it was always about right vs. wrong, not right vs. left. After a decade of one-party control, our leaders seem to have forgotten about that, putting politics ahead of public service. I want to end that,” said nominee for governor Rob Sand. “The folks in Des Moines could learn a few lessons from us in Decorah – work hard, work together, and put Iowans first. That’s exactly what I’ll do as governor.”

Rob Sand: Decorah, my hometown.

Where I learned how to hunt and fish and right from wrong.

Thanks, mom & dad!

As a prosecutor and as State Auditor, that came in handy.

Decorah is small enough to know most people, and to know that our differences are small too.

Politicians down in Des Moines should learn that.

Stop the division, work together, put Iowans first.

To actually solve problems like high costs, corruption, and our cancer crisis.

Folks here deserve that and in your hometown, too.
